Endemol may be listed on Amsterdam bourse
Dutch production firm Endemol, which is behind the TV series Big Brother and Fear Factor , is gaining stock market listing in Amsterdam this month. The company will be valued at around 1.1 billion to 1.6 billion euros.

New Star float valued at £704 million
Fund manager New Star announced on Tuesday that in its initial public offering it will price its shares at 225 pence, which gives the group a market capitalisation of nearly 704 million pounds.

LSE may be taken over by Macquarie
THE London Stock Exchange (LSE) is reportedly eyeing acquisitions in a bid to maintain its independence. The company had disclosed its plans to return £250 million to shareholders.
The Takeover Panel is said to be putting up a put up or shut up notice for Macquarie, the Australian investment bank.

80% of London-based investment companies not ready for MiFID
LONDON - Almost two-thirds of London-based investment companies admit that they are not ready or are not aware if they are ready for the new European rules that aim to reform banks and exchanges, according to a new report published by pan-European industry association, MiFID Joint Working Group.

Rental properties most sought after in third quarter
LONDON - Buy-to-let landlords in Britain are continuing to demonstrate keen faith in the housing market even as demand for rental property soared in the third quarter. These findings are contained in the latest buy-to-let confidence survey by Mortgage Express, the specialist-lending arm of Bradford & Bingley.

British parents are seen to be saving for their children, according to a research report by analyst firm Mintel. It said nearly three quarters of parents with children under 14 said they are earmarking money for saving to make their children's future bright.

Warner Estate Holdings buys Pallasades Shopping Centre
British property company Warner Estate Holdings Plc. has acquired the Pallasades Shopping Centre in Birmingham for 151.5 million pounds. The property belonging to Capital & Regional Properties Plc. has been bought through a new fund, Agora Max Shopping Centre Fund, created by Warner Estate Holdings and Bank of Scotland.

BBC hones in on Manchester for Media Zone HQ
