Consumer confidence in Britain slid at its highest rate in three months in December as the economic outlook had worsened, according to a survey by Nationwide Building Society.

Store cards will have to carry warning on interest rates
Britain's Competition Commission is intending to initiate action against the exorbitantly high rates of interest charged by store card providers. The regulator said it will make it mandatory for the card providers to give clearer warnings to borrowers about the rates of interest and other charges they levy.

Banks to share credit card data to bypass bad debts
LONDON - Abbey, Barclaycard, the Co-operative Bank and Egg have agreed to share data about their credit card holders in order to minimize the amount of bad debt faced by them. PwC says credit card annual fees could make a comeback
