| Rooney rescues creditless girlfriend at Chanel |

MADRID - England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney had to perform a different rescue act- this time at a shopping center in Madrid as his girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin was mortified to learn that her credit card had not been accepted at Chanel.
Wayne and Coleen were in Madrid to have a reconciliation dinner with England captain David Beckham and his wife Victoria 'Posh' Beckham. The latter pointed out some of her favorite shopping centres and shopahoilc that she is Coleen was not able to resist, though Rooney was not best pleased.
So on they went to Chanel and Coleen found a £1,343 black belt that caught her fancy. Purchasing done, she went over to pay with her credit card. The card was apparently rejected three times and a beetroot-red Coleen had to call on Rooney to bail her out.
"She got very flustered and tried to call Wayne into the shop. But he couldn't see her waving her hands around in the air. In the end, she got the driver's attention, and he went and had a word with Wayne. Eventually, he got out of the car looking furious. He obviously doesn't enjoy these shopping trips as much as her," said a source who happened to witness the whole scene. Rooney's card though was accepted on the first attempt, "You'd have thought a shopping fan like Coleen would have got the hang of it by now. But it's not uncommon for foreign cards to be rejected for whatever reason," explained the unnamed source.
Rooney and Coleen had watched Real Madrid's match at the Bernabeu and then had accompanied the Beckhams to Arabic restaurant Mosaiq where they ate vegetable couscous and a tajine of pork and chicken before embarking on the ill-timed shopping trip. Rooney and Coleen also visited Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton.
