This extended feature will definitely benefit customers who face problems booking tickets with BA from a destination other than their place of departure. According to Simon Parks-Smith of British Airways, ‘the improvement allows customers to purchase tickets for themselves and friends, colleagues and relatives whose journeys originate abroad.’

Customers living abroad also stand to gain from this renewed rule although their bills will still be posted to their home country.
