| Fake ticket booking reaches for the sky |

In case you’re shopping for flight tickets online, beware! Panda Software has just revealed that fraudsters have been trying to seize personal credit card information and contact details of people through fake websites, promising them of cheap flight tickets.
Unwary gullible internet users are duped by these swindlers while they are searching for flight tickets online. Their search takes them to spurious sites where they are asked to feed in their credit card details along with their personal information.
What happens is that the credit card payment is not accepted ultimately by the site and a request for a postal order is flashed across the screen. Thereby, customers are tricked into divulging their financial details to the sites and land themselves into a scam.
Luis Corrons, director of PandaLabs, warned consumers saying that "Users are best advised to treat 'bargains' with suspicion, and only make online purchases from trusted sites." He added that it always made sense to cross check the credibility of the website on the internet to clear all apprehensions.
However, IT security companies and the like have been making consolidated efforts to fight this ‘phishing’ fraud and furnish consumers with adequate information regarding the same.
